CBRE Charity Bash at Wrigley Field a Home Run for Local Charities

CBRE and the Chicago Cubs hosted the 9th Annual CBRE Cares Charity Bash on Monday, August 15th at historic Wrigley Field. The gala raised more than $375,000, with 100 percent of net proceeds benefiting numerous local charities.

More than 1,300 CBRE team members, their families, clients and friends — as well as Cubs players and management — were on hand to participate in this first-of-its-kind event at Wrigley Field. Cubs manager Joe Maddon, pitcher Jon Lester, first baseman Anthony Rizzo, President of Baseball Operations Theo Epstein; President of Business Operations Crane Kenney, CBRE CEO Bob Sulentic and CBRE Midwest Division President Chris Connelly were all present for the event.

The proceeds will benefit CBRE Cares as well:

  • The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation. The Mission of the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation is to raise money for cancer research and to provide support to children and their families battling the disease.
  • Jon Lester’s NVRQT campaign for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. Short for “never quit,” the NVRQT campaign, run by Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, helps to raise awareness and money for children’s cancer research.
  • Foundation To Be Named Later. Founded by Theo and Paul Epstein, Foundation To Be Named Later’s mission is to improve the world through education, leadership and the healthy development of youth and families, primarily raising funds through unique and exciting events focused on baseball and music.
  • Joe Maddon’s Respect 90 Foundation. Founded by Cubs manager Joe Maddon, the Respect 90 Foundation is designed to help children and young adults through sports, fitness, academic and community involvement.

“To have this amazing event at Wrigley Field has been an incredible experience,” said Chris Connelly, president of the Midwest division for CBRE. “Thanks to our partnership with the Cubs, we have been able to elevate our charity event to a new level and provide more donations to these worthy local charities than we ever have before.”

Not sure why the shutterfly link with Rizzo Eastern pics won’t allow you to scroll thru the pics??? The Madden Lester one does and I found our pics there. Can you advise?

Hi! I was at this event and had a great time, thank you! I was trying to download some of the photos from the smugmug site (Maddon/Lester) and was having difficulty. Can you please let me know how to do it? The shutterfly ones were not a problem. Thanks!
